The retail shopping app for Salveowell, live on Google Play and the App Store with 100K+ Android installs. I built it end to end on my own — every screen, the state management, the checkout flow and the full integration against the Laravel commerce APIs.

01 · The Challenge
What Problem Did This Project Solve?
Putting a Laravel web commerce platform into a native app without rebuilding the business rules.
- The commerce logic — pricing, promotions, stock, order lifecycle — already lived in the Laravel backend and could not be duplicated or reinterpreted on the client.
- The same app ships to both Android and iOS and to buyers across four regional markets with different catalogues and currencies.
- Much of the audience is on low-end Android hardware and intermittent mobile data, so the app had to stay responsive on a slow connection.
- Checkout had to stay consistent with the web storefront — a customer who starts on the website and finishes in the app must see the same cart, prices and order history.
- App Store and Play Store review cycles meant every release had to be right the first time; a broken checkout is a week of downtime.
02 · The Solution
What Solution Was Delivered?
A single Flutter client that treats the backend as the source of truth and does the hard work at the edges.
- One Flutter codebase serving both platforms, with platform-specific handling only where the stores demand it.
- A typed API layer wrapping the Laravel endpoints so every catalogue, cart and order response is validated before it reaches the UI.
- Local caching of catalogue and session data so browsing stays fast and the app survives a dropped connection mid-session.
- Checkout built to mirror the web flow exactly, so cart, pricing and order history stay identical across surfaces.
- Continuous release cadence — over thirty published versions since the first release, shipped in lockstep with backend changes.
